Students citizens of Georgia no longer need a study visa to Russia

The Presidential Decree No. 873 of October 10th, 2024 has altered the previous document regulating entry to and exit from Russia of Georgian citizens. The entry for all categories of travelers from Georgia is now visa-free, including those willing to work or study in Russia for over 90 days.
To enter Russia with the purpose of Education, a student should show a Georgian passport at the border passport control, and underline the purpose of stay "Education" on the migration card.

If you had entered Russia before the Decree was issued, your visa is not subject to extension, but your migration registration is. Do not forget to promptly extend it at the place of your stay.
